Every day with her was a true blessing!
Our “Baby Girl”
Her life

Her memories stay with me
She was given to us for a short time, but every single day with her was a special gift. I am flooded with great memories from infancy to adulthood!
Laney (nickname since day 1), was a warm, caring, quirky, awkward, and anti-social thing. Her biting sense of humor and ability to make me smile and laugh without even trying made her a joy to be around.

“Dad, let’s make a custom road trip playlist! We start with 5 songs each and take turns addding songs as we go.”
Whenever she was working her shift at Starbucks, I would make it a point to go see her and grab a coffee, just to say hi and encourage her to deal with all the “coffee snobs”.
Laney loved acorns!
“Old fashioned cows!”, she exclaimed from the back seat, passing through Iowa, while we were taking William to UND to look at the flight school there. These were holstein (black and white) dairy cows.
She will be sorely missed!
You taught me the courage of stars before you left
How light carries on endlessly, even after death
With shortness of breath
You explained the infinite
How rare and beautiful it is to even exist
