Why TH&B?

In 2016, Laney and her brother, Ryan both gave me decorated boxcars. Laney took her work a bit more seriously than Ryan did. Probably the wrong way to describe it… Laney’s boxcar is more prototypical while Ryan’s is more “colorful”.

Laney’s boxcar happens to be from the Toronto, Hamilton and Buffalo.I knew nothing about the line. I’ve run this boxcar at shows and always get great comments about it. Laney and I spoke about it in April about the possibility of more artwork.

Now that she is not with us, this car has become even more important to me. It is a 1950’s era boxcar and did not fit in well with my 2017 CSX GE44AC. I decided to get some help and got in touch with a person that takes modelling this road very seriously. He’s giving great advice on what to get and donating rolling stock from his own collection to give this car a proper home!

I expect to run the train at the RPM meet in Greeley in October this fall.
